1. The short version

Zod Agent is a client-side application. There is no account, no backend, and no server that stores your data. Conversations, memory, configuration, and preferences live in your browser on your device. We do not collect, store, or process your data.

This Privacy Policy covers the Zod Agent application and website. Because the app runs locally, the data it handles is yours and stays on your device.

2. What we collect

Zod does not collect any personal data. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no sign-up, and no payment information handled by us.

The website itself may rely on standard hosting and analytics practices (e.g. cookies, server logs) of our web host. See the Cookie Policy for details.

3. What we do not collect

  • Your conversations, prompts, or AI outputs
  • Your memory, todos, notes, or data stores
  • Your provider API keys or configuration
  • Your IP address or device information (from the app)

4. How your data flows

The only data that leaves your device is what you explicitly send to an AI provider in a request:

  • Requests go directly from your browser to the provider endpoint you configure (e.g. OpenRouter, OpenAI, Groq, Together, Ollama, LM Studio)
  • We do not proxy, log, or inspect those requests
  • Anything you send to a provider is subject to that provider's own terms and data policies

5. Retention and control

Your workspace is stored in your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB (for scheduled background tasks). It remains on your device until you:

  • Export and import it as JSON via Settings → General
  • Clear your browser storage
  • Remove the Chrome extension or uninstall the desktop app

6. Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly — export it, back it up, or delete it at any time. There is nothing stored with us to access, correct, or erase. We do not sell or share personal data.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website.
