Disclaimer

1. General disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or quality of any content, information, or outputs generated or provided through the Service
No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from Zod or through the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated in these terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you. To the extent permitted by applicable law, these disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
2. AI-generated content
Zod uses machine learning models to generate suggestions, code completions, chat responses, and other outputs (collectively, "AI Outputs"). These AI Outputs are:
- Auto-generated — AI Outputs are produced by statistical models, not human authors or domain experts. They may contain errors, inaccuracies, bugs, security vulnerabilities, or inappropriate content.
- Non-deterministic — The same input may produce different outputs at different times. AI Outputs should not be relied upon as reproducible or consistent.
- Not reviewed — AI Outputs are not reviewed, vetted, or approved by Zod before delivery to you
- Not a substitute for human judgment — AI Outputs are tools to augment human productivity, not replacements for professional expertise, critical thinking, or decision-making
Critical systems: You must not rely on AI Outputs for decisions in critical, life-safety, or high-risk environments without independent human verification. AI-generated code, in particular, may contain security vulnerabilities, licensing issues, or logic errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any AI Outputs before deploying them in production systems or incorporating them into your projects.
3. No professional advice
The Service, including any documentation, tutorials, blog posts, knowledge base articles, forum content, communications from Zod, and AI Outputs, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to:
- Legal advice — Nothing in the Service creates an attorney-client relationship or constitutes legal advice. Consult a licensed attorney for legal matters.
- Financial advice — Zod does not provide investment, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Consult a qualified financial professional.
- Medical advice — The Service is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider.
- Security advice — While Zod follows security best practices, assessments of your specific security posture should be conducted by qualified security professionals.
You should not act or refrain from acting based on any information provided through the Service without seeking appropriate professional advice tailored to your specific situation.
4. Third-party content and services
The Service may integrate with, reference, or provide access to third-party products, services, websites, content, or information ("Third-Party Materials"). Zod does not:
- Endorse, warrant, or assume responsibility for any Third-Party Materials
- Control the content, privacy practices, or terms of use of Third-Party Materials
- Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of Third-Party Materials
Your use of Third-Party Materials is governed by the respective third-party terms and policies. You should review those terms before using or relying on any Third-Party Materials. Zod disclaims all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of or reliance on Third-Party Materials.
AI models integrated with the Service are provided by third-party providers. Zod is not responsible for the outputs, performance, or availability of third-party AI models. The availability of specific models depends on the provider's service status and may change without notice.
5. Accuracy and availability
While we strive to keep the Service accurate and up to date, we make no representations or warranties about:
- Accuracy — The Service, including documentation, blog content, and AI Outputs, may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Information may become outdated over time.
- Availability — The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, technical issues, or factors beyond our control. Our Service Level Agreement sets forth our uptime commitments for paid plans.
- Completeness — Documentation and educational content may not cover all features, use cases, or edge scenarios. Features may behave differently depending on your configuration, environment, and usage patterns.
Zod reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with notice as required by the Terms of Service.
6. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- Zod shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service
- Zod's aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amounts paid by you to Zod in the 6 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) $100
- These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise), even if Zod has been advised of the possibility of such damages
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. In such jurisdictions, Zod's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zod, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service in violation of these terms or applicable law
- Your Content, including any claims that Your Content infringes third-party rights or violates applicable law
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
- Any dispute between you and another user of the Service
Zod reserves the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification. You agree to cooperate with Zod in defending such claims.
